The cold mist rush

through my body,

like the blood

in my veins.

The loud booming

of soon to be cheerleaders

yelling, arms flying, legs flying

I felt flustered.

 

Waiting in the hall

I heard my name

being called,

I knew it was my time to shine.

 

I walked in,

saw the judges,

and wanted to walk

right back out,

BUT I didn’t.

 

I jumped, yelled, and did my cheers

And walked out

Confident.

 

Then 2 hours later…

I had made cheerleader.

 

I danced all around in Excitement

and I knew that at that exact

moment,

It was my time to shine!
